I use both placidus and whole sign house systems and I apply modern planetary rulerships. The Sun, Moon and ascendant (rising signs) are significant in your chart. In particular, the Sun and Moon illuminate light and represent ego and self-expression (Sun) and emotional security and safety (Moon).
